Davie County Schools will invest in people with our ESSER funds.  We will provide more academic, social and emotional resources for children, and more ways for staff to gain  collaborative work spaces, training and resources they need to best support our students. See complete statement here.

What is ESSER?

Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER Fund). Under the ESSER Fund, established as part of the Education Stabilization Fund in the CARES Act, 1 State educational agencies (SEAs) will award subgrants to local educational agencies (LEAs) to address the impact that the Novel Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) has had, and continues to have, on elementary and secondary schools across the Nation. See FAQs and more here.

Collaborative Planning and Communication

It is important that we always remain thoughtful in our planning, and utilize funds in a way that has the highest impact on students and staff.  This common goal has been discussed in many forums, with interactive dialogue and planning.
