Interim Superintendent
We are here to love and protect your child as we provide a safe and secure learning environment for each and every student. That is vital.
Haynes Named Interim Superintendent
Jinda Haynes is currently serving as interim superintendent, effective May 1, 2025. Haynes, who has been serving as assistant superintendent for human resources and leadership development for the past six years, steps into the role following the retirement of Superintendent Jeff Wallace.
A dedicated educator with almost 30 years service in Davie County Schools, Haynes began her career in 1995 as a science teacher at Davie County High School. Over the years, she has held multiple leadership roles in the district, including principal at both Davie County High School and Davie County Early College, where she led the school’s opening in 2007. In addition to previously leading the district’s curriculum and instruction department, she has been instrumental in strategic planning, instructional leadership, and staff development, ensuring that Davie County Schools continues to provide high-quality education for its students.
Haynes will serve as interim until Dr. Heath Belcher assumes the role of superintendent on July 1, 2025.
Focused on children.
Focused on the future.
