Media Center RFQ FAQ
- Can you provide access to CAD files or dimensions of the space in order to build out a rendering to meet the RFQ guidelines?
- Do we have to be in person for the 2 information sessions or will the link to the presentation suffice?
- Do you know when you would be ordering the furniture and the time frame for delivery?
- Should presentations be in-person or is presenting virtually an option? (Re: Request to schedule a time to present your design to the committee on August 8-10, 2022 optional)
- How is this being awarded to one vendor or multiple vendors?
- Are there CAD or PDF floor plans of the first 3 campuses needed designed or is it just the North Davie MS that is being designed as the typical for the RFQ?
- Assuming the $90k budget is for all three of the first round per the presentation, we would allocate roughly $30k per location. Then the next round of 3 school media centers would follow the same format?
- Initial RFQ would be for 1 campus or for all three?
- With respect to the budget and knowing the existing room has shelving, are we to respect those items and reuse them or propose new shelving options?
- This could be a mix of old and new, or did the school have a direct opinion? Notes in BLUE on the PDF to us indicates what is needed shelving wise?
- As the document stated the tables are to be repurposed for the makers area, but asking for new 16 tables in the media center?
- As far as the soft seating and fabrics, what grade fabrics should be using for pricing?
- After review of the documents, we did not see the dates of the delivery on these media centers. With pricing being a part of this RFQ, anticipated dates would be helpful so we can pricing accordingly?
- Should taxes be included in the total cost of the project?
- Will the pendant lights be replaced?
- Is the existing circulation desk in the media center going to remain and then you are adding a mobile check in unit, or is the new mobile unit to replace this current built in station?
