Congratulations to eight nursing pre-apprentices from Davie County High School who were recognized by Governor Josh Stein on Wednesday, April 29th at an event on Davidson Davie Community College's Thomasville campus.
The event also highlighted the power of partnership. Davie County Schools has partnered with Trinity Elms, ApprenticeshipNC, Davidson-Davie Community College, and the North Carolina Business Committee for Education to launch a nursing pre-apprenticeship program this past semester. This opportunity is designed for students who have completed the Health Science pathway at Davie County High School and the Nurse Aide program at Davidson-Davie Community College.
All pre-apprentices are gaining hands-on experience at Trinity Elms Assisted Living, offering an incredible step toward their future careers.
Congratulations to our four pre-apprentices who completed the program - Daniela, Madison, Maggie, and Olivia.
The governor also celebrated our incoming group of nursing pre-apprentices: Rubi, Camryn, Stacy, and Emily!
You can read more about the pre-apprenticeship program at DDCC and see a highlight of one of our students, Olivia, featured in THIS story by EdNC, and in a TV report from ABC45 News.
