Finance Department
The Davie County Schools Finance Department is responsible for managing the district’s financial resources to support student and staff success. This includes budgeting, payroll, accounting, purchasing, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The team works closely with school and district leaders to ensure funds are used efficiently, transparently, and in alignment with educational goals and priorities.

Finance Team




O’Connor serves as the Assistant Director of Finance for Davie County Schools, bringing over 35 years of experience in finance, including 17 years with the district. She holds an A.A.S. in Accounting from Davidson County Community College. Janie oversees district general accounting programs, cash management, and ensures fiscal responsibility across all operations. She compiles and analyzes data for various reports required by oversight agencies and maintains strict adherence to Davie County Schools’ policies, as well as state and federal regulations. Her expertise and dedication help safeguard the district’s financial integrity while supporting its mission to serve students and staff.
