Davie County Schools 7th graders got a firsthand look at career opportunities close to home during national Manufacturing Day on October 2. Students from North Davie, South Davie, and William Ellis middle schools visited area businesses to learn about local industries and explore potential career paths.
Ten companies opened their doors to students, sharing what they do and the job opportunities their industries offer. The visits helped students connect classroom learning to the workplace while discovering the variety of careers available right here in Davie County.
Davie County Schools thanks Pro Refrigeration Inc., SBA Home North Carolina, Ashley Furniture Industries, DEX Heavy Duty Parts, LLC, Fuller Welding and Fabricators, Inc., Davie Medical Center, Gildan, Reeb, and Dunlop Aircraft Tyres, along with partner Davidson-Davie Community College, for supporting this career exploration experience.
We are grateful for the community partnerships that help our students dream big and move forward with a greater understanding of what their futures could hold.
